Dear prospective graduate students:
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas offers graduate programs leading to Master of Science in Engineering majoring in various civil engineering sub-disciplines (MSE), Master of Science in Transportation (MST), and Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering majoring in various civil engineering sub-disciplines (PhD). Our MSE programs offers thesis, project, and all-course degree options. The admission and degree requirements for each graduate degree program can be found in the UNLV graduate catalog. Based on merit, graduate students may be eligible for assistantship from the department (teaching) or from individual faculty (research). Each graduate student chooses an academic advisor and can take a variety of courses to meet his/her academic and career goals.
The 14 faculty of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering hold terminal degrees from some of the nation�s most prestigious universities and are actively involved in graduate education and research. The Department has strong research programs which attract $4 million of yearly research funding from the government and industry.
